Frequently asked questions
The most common questions about endpoint backup
OneDrive is sync, not backup: a deleted or encrypted file is mirrored to the cloud. DPS keeps an independent, versioned and immutable copy.
No. The agent works during idle time, sends only changed blocks, and CPU/bandwidth limits are set by policy.
The agent is installed on the new device and the user profile is fully restored. The copy on the lost device is disabled remotely.
Documents, Desktop and Downloads by default; any folder or extension can be added or excluded by policy. System files are out of scope.
In the Istanbul and Ankara Tier III data centers, encrypted and versioned. Key management can stay within your organization.
